Marquee and Tipi Weddings

Weddings are now able to be held in our licensed Marquees or Tipi’s and gardens at the top of the hill as well as the licensed Ceremony Rooms at The Fox & Goose Inn, one of the oldest hostelries in Derbyshire which brings with it an abundance of charm and character. The inn maintains many of the original features and makes a fabulous venue for your wedding day.

Ceremonies can be held in the Abbey suite or the Orangery and in addition, they also provide Marquee or Tipi weddings, often associated with just the summer months, these options are available whatever the weather. Framed by woodland, manicured lawns and making great use of the outdoor space, this can be a great way to ensure you make the most of the views as you enjoy your day.

A place to start those memories together as you set off on the right path as a married couple and why not make a wish at the Wigley Wishing Well!

Pudding Pie Hill
The local residents of Wigley and Wadshelf named the hill on which the pub stands as Pudding Pie Hill as the slake lime burnt on the fields to aid plant growth in historic times gave the hill the appearance of a giant steamed pudding!

The Spring
The building sits on a natural spring which has recently been capped with a well, water is tapped from this and used to supply the Inn. It also makes a great place to make a wish on your wedding day!
