Create Change Chesterfield is happening on Sunday 10th March. We will gather together, hear about great ideas and think about changing the world!
The day has been organised by Clare Gage who is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. The RSA was founded on a belief that the creativity of ideas could enrich social progress. Clare has used the support of the RSA to create this day for her local community.
As part of the day we will hear from researchers from the RSA Action and Research centre, a place bubbling with inspiring ideas with action being taken towards making them happen. We’ll be led in an activity to think about the role a universal basic income could play in our society.
We’ll also be joined by Talkshop to learn about deliberative democracy. They specialise in giving people a voice in matters that concern them so that democracy works better for everyone.
Don’t be put off if these terms seem technical and you’re more about chatting and meeting interesting people. That’s the main part of the day!
There will also be a chance to get involved in hands-on craft sessions inspired by the craftivism movement.
This event is for everyone – especially those in the age group who find themselves juggling work/family/homelife. Children are welcome – we have crèche facilities, and theatre workshops to entertain the kids. Lunch will be provided so that we can share a meal together.
The day is free to attend and will be a friendly, lively day full of positive ideas for changing our world.
Booking is required, especially for the childcare (hover your smartphone’s camera over the quick code below for the link or go to eventbrite.co.uk and search ‘create change’.
